Two Peas in a Pod Wedding Theme - You're Meant to Be

A Two Peas in a Pod Wedding Theme (similar to the "Of All The Fish in the Sea" theme) will show guests that you belong together, are meant for each other.   This theme can be incorporated into your wedding via stationery items, decorations, flowers, favors and the wedding cake.

Selecting invitations with a pea pod theme or that are green in color will introduce your theme.   Decorate with green paper lanterns to resemble peas.   Have your cake stylist create pea pods from fondant to decorate the cake.   In keeping with the pea pod theme, sweet peas are an ideal choice for floral centerpieces and the bridal bouquet and Two Peas in a Pod favors are a sweet touch.   Resources below.

With Easter fast approaching and pastel-colored goodies on display everywhere, I thought I’d present several pastel candy buffets.   Pastel colors are often associated with spring, but candy buffet #4 shows that they work just as well in winter.   For a wedding, I always feel it's a good idea to mix deeper shades into a pastel palette to avoid a baby shower aesthetic.

As I passed the Macy's jewelry counter yesterday, gorgeous pink and rose gold jewelry by Charter Club caught my eye.    How beautiful these colors are together!

For those considering a pink and copper wedding color palette (rose gold and copper are close in color), you're on the right track.   This color combination is so fresh yet timeless.   Charter Club's jewelry collection is new for Spring 2011 but the richness of the rose gold (copper), could take this color palette through all seasons.    Resources below.

Unique Wedding Venue - McDonald's

In the United States, a wedding at McDonald's would definitely raise eyebrows.   In Hong Kong, however, a McDonald's wedding wouldn't seem tacky.

Marrying couples in Hong Kong are flocking to this rather unique wedding venue in an attempt to not only stretch their wedding budgets but for nostalgia as well (remembering visits there as students in the 1980s and 1990s).   From McDonald's perspective, the emphasis seems to be on relaxed fun over formality with wedding cakes made of stacked apple pies and sundaes substituted for champagne.
