Winter Wedding Color Palette - Cranberry, Evergreen & Ivory

The board below was inspired by this year's after-Christmas shopping excursion.   While scouring the shelves for marked-down decorations, I decided on a color scheme for next Christmas:    cranberry, evergreen and ivory.    I've never really cared for decorating in the traditional Christmas colors of red, green and white but this palette takes the traditional palette to another level.    The board below has elements that are elegant, yet rustic and even eco-friendly.   Resources below.

Engagement Season Is Here

Engagement season is definitely in full effect.   I was reminded of this when exiting a store the other day.   A young woman ran past me squealing, flashing her newly acquired ring and announcing her engagement as she ran into the store (her boyfriend apparently proposed during her break).    If you've been dropping hints, don't be surprised if your honey plans to present an engagement ring as your Christmas present.   Wouldn't that be sweet?

The engagement season is the period between Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day.    It's estimated that one-third of all proposals for the year take place during this period.    Check out more engagement-related posts.
