Continued from post of 4/8/10:
If you already have a Twitter account (if not, get one at twitter.com), you can use it to locate wedding bloggers, vendors, and wedding-related sites and follow them. This is a great way to find discounts, giveaways, wedding trends and product reviews. You can
follow Things Festive on Twitter if you like!
If bridal party members live far away, use your Facebook page to post photos of tux and bridesmaid dress possibilities. Your attendants can offer opinions and suggestions right on the page. In addition to posting your wedding registry on your wedding web site, why not post links to the registry on your Facebook page?
StumbleUpon is another social media site that's great for finding wedding-related articles. The articles that you'll find have been "stumbled" upon by other Internet users as being chock full of useful information. To find what you're looking for, enter the keywords in the search box. For example, if you're looking for ideas for planning an eco-friendly wedding, enter "eco-friendly wedding" in the search box.
If you're planning a destination wedding and a lot of guests can't make the trip, live stream your wedding to them using
UStream.
Although the Internet and social media sites can lighten your wedding planning load, you don't want to go overboard. It's still good form to send invitations and thank-you notes through regular mail.
